Car Designs

This is an ATV/military vehicle. This is not a humvee. It can seat nine full-gear soldiers and still have a lot of cargo space. It has a 50 mm gun and a S.A.W.(Squad Automatic Weapon) as its backup. It runs off of whole corn cobs so it is fuel efficient. The vehicle cost about $30,000.

This car is a 1972 charger with an over charged motor. The wheels in the back are 42 inches thick and the wheels in the front are 22 inches thick. It can go from 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, faster than the mustangs and the camaros. This car is also fuel efficient using whole corn. This vehicle is around $60,000.

The Unexpected Homework Pass

Well it all started like this... I woke up this morning and I told myself, "I am going to be good today. I am not going to do anything that will get me in trouble." The school bell rang at 8:20 ding! ding! ding! "Here I go" I told myself. I went into the classroom and sat at my desk to do my S.O.S. I sat at my desk quietly and did my schoolwork. I did not move nor breathe... well I breathed a little! (LOL). I then heard my name called from behind me and it was my mom. She gave me a homework pass for today. I was like "Oh wow! I got a homework pass for the day" and was very happy. She told me since I was quiet and did not move, I got a free homework pass and that is how it happened.

Thanks Mom you’re kewl...

**Note from the Mom**

Jeffrey deals with the effects of FAS, RAD and Aspergers so sitting still in class can be a challenge for him. He is working on setting boundaries for himself that do not require me to give him so many redirections.

AHHH young grass hopper, you have done well.

KINGDOM'S DAWN

The title of my book is Kingdom’s Dawn. The author who wrote this book is Chuck Black. I decided to read this book because it looked easy and it was on my reading log. It is the first book of a four part series

The main characters of this book are Leinad, Tess, The Dark knight, the Vactor Deluge, the king and Lucius. Leinad is a 16-year-old boy from Mankin. He was trained to be a knight by his father. Tess was a young slave girl who worked for an older woman. Tess was the slave girl who was rescued by Leinad off the street. She was dirty and was an abused girl, but a hard worker. The dark knight was the king’s enemy. He was the evil knight who would kill anyone. The Vactor Deluge was a bad, black, killer storm that ate everyone from the water to half way past the mountaintop. The king was the king of the kingdom called Arrethtrae and he was the one who fought Leinad. Lucius was a brilliant swordsman and tactician.

The part when Leinad fights the king makes me feel like he has great skill. I did not really understand the king and why he did not know he could take Leinad and it was only grace that saved the king from being diced in half.

The book begins with Leinad being trained to be a knight. Leinad's parents were going to be in charge on the king’s side. They were an extended family of the king. His father raises him on a farm. His mother died when he was a little boy. The Dark knight, which is the Kings enemy, happens to be Leinad’s brother. Leinad does not know that the king wants him to be the king’s top warrior. Therefore, Leinad is trained with a sword. He thinks he is going to just practice, but as it turns out, he is an immortal Knight. Lucius was a good swordsman who was trying to take the king. Therefore he took 1/3 of his best warriors to try to kill the king. Peyton, Leinad’s father, failed the king, so he was thrown out of the castle and was sent to Mankin to make a new world.

The problem is that Leinad is chose to kill the dark knight, which happens to be his older brother. He does not want to kill his brother but the dark knight army and is going to take over Mankin. The problem is solved when he does harm the Dark Knight but does not kill him all of the way. The reason why he has to kill the dark knight is because if he does not, the Dark Knight will take over the king’s castle.

The next book of this series is called Kingdom’s Hope. I wonder if Leinad kills the dark knight in the next book. There is more to come and I look forward to reading the rest.

DO YOU THINK HOMESCHOOLERS SHOULD GET HOMEWORK?

I am home schooled and I get assigned homework. I think that since we are home schooled, I do not believe we need to do class work and do homework too. I think that is wrong and so not right. LOL! I think I will officially call this situation, “Anti-Homework.”

My mom says we need to do homework, so that we can take what we learn in class and we can show it again on what seems to be 10 homework pages. LOL! I think we should not have homework if we are home schooled. I would rather go outside or play my game boy color for the rest of the day.

Do you think homeschoolers should get homework?

First Day of School

Yesterday was my first day of school. I am now starting tenth grade. I am so excited and wonder what exciting new things I am going to learn. I made my class schedule already, so I already know what class is first. When I picked Language Arts for first hour, I thought it was going to be fun. Nouns, pronouns, adjectives … normal stuff right? But then when I read the first lesson, I said to myself, “This is so hard to do.” I gracefully passed with an 86%, which was good, but I knew I could do better than that.

At the end of the first day of school I was happy to hear that I did not have any homework. So I planned on to just hang around the house. I went out to shoot some hoops and listened to music. I made sure to find something to do, anything to avoid homework at the dinning room table. LOL!

My classes this year are:
1. Language Arts
2. Bible
3. Science
4. Math
5. Spanish
6. Drivers Ed
7. History Geography
8. Study Hall

Summer Update

This summer I have been doing a lot of things. I have been doing summer school… it is not that bad. Algebra started out hard, but now I get the program and it seems to be easy. I don't like summer school, but I know it is good for me. After summer classes, I am free to do what I want do. I get to go outside for 5 to 6 hours a day and play basketball and skateboard. I have been getting dirty and guzzling water like an SUV guzzling gas. I went camping in June and got a brand new, six foot tall tent that can sleep six. It is really roomy and does not leak like my old tent did. I went to a duck tape workshop at the local library and made three objects. The Instructor made other cool things from duck tape. He has made a vest, shoes, a tuxedo, a dress, hats, and many bags. I made a wallet, a steam boat and a bookmark. It is very relaxing. I would like to go to another duck tape workshop. It was so cool and fun. As soon as I get my allowance, I plan to go to the hardware store to buy some tape too make cool things.

I would like to take my skateboard and try to learn how to skate better. I would like to take my old red bike to the BMX track and go down the hill super fast. I would like to go camping and I would also like to go to fishing and catch channel catfish or bullheads. I like fish and that is something else I can live off of.

Later,
Jeffrey

Book Report

The title of my book is Strange Spirits of St. Ignace. The author who wrote this book is Jonathan Rand. The main characters of this book are Kevin, Erin and Bobby. Kevin is a boy and he loves camping. Erin is a girl who is older than Kevin. Bobby is the youngest and is a toddler. These three kids are brothers and sister.

This story is about how these kids go out camping with their mom and dad. They go camping and while they are in the forest, they saw animal tracks, which looked like bear tracks .The three kids told their parents they will be back before sunset. The kids followed the tracks deep into the woods. They start to hear noises like whispering and stepping noises and realized they were lost. Kevin, who was the second oldest, made a pile of brush so he could make a fire. He happened to have a knife and a rock. He scraped the knife against the rock and tried to makes a spark to start a fire.

Then the kids saw glowing eyes in the forest and there were a bunch of them and they were starring at the three kids so intensely. Kevin defended his brother and sister by waving a fire torch to the animals and yelled to scare them off. It turned out that they were not animals but they were creatures. The creatures looked like ghost and the tracks they made disappeared. The creatures were not trying to hurt the children; they were nice creature who were trying to help the children The creatures began to talk to the three kids, but the children could not quite understand the creatures. The creatures were trying to warn the kids about evil animals that were coming to eat them. The children and the creatures ran because they heard the noises of the trampling animals coming.

The good creatures were able to fight off the evil animals with the help of the children, and the children and the good creatures got away.

This book was not what I thought it was going to be about because it turned out to be about ghost and evil spirits, which is something my mom usually does not let me read about. It really was not a good story because it was boring. I would not recommend this book to anyone, but I usually like the “Michigan Chillers” books.

Apple Valley Resort

Apple Valley is located in Southern Ohio. It is about 1 ½ hours from Columbus and about 3 hours from the border of Michigan. It is near a little town called Howard. Apple Valley is a resort with a full 18-hole golf course. The resort had about 25 condos where six people can stay. The condo is 1,400 square ft. It has a master bedroom with a master bathroom. It had a huge hot tub and a full private spa in the condo. It has another bedroom with dressers and a small walk-in closet. It had a huge kitchen with a nice roomy dining area. The living room has a 42 inch TV with 100 channels and a wet sink. It also had a gas fire place. There are two huge decks and the first one leads to the back door with a gas grill and the other one is from the hot tub room. There is a nice playground with a basketball court, shuffleboard, and horseshoe. The deer there are very friendly; they come right to you.

Future Car

This is the all new 2009 pickup/SUV. It goes about 100 mpg. It is not a fuel injection vehicle. It runs primary on vegetable oil and whole corn. It goes up to 120 mph and is an automatic vehicle. It seats 10 people in it. Its also has three rows of seats. It has two 20 inch monitors in the middle of all of the rows. It has a built in video game system/DVD player. It would probably come with *On Star* and a radio with CD player. This is my future car that hopefully one day someone will make.

Meet Me

Hello, my name is Jeffrey I am 15 years old. I am moving out from my mom's blog over at MHSrotties to my own blogworld. I like being home schooled. I have been home schooled since sixth grade. I had been in a real school, but behavior problems got in the way of my studies. So my mom has pulled me out of school and is teaching me. At first, I was the only one at the dining room table and it was lonely at times, but I managed to handle it.

My favorite subjects are Science and Social Studies. I like hands on things in science. In Social Studies I like to read about the different continents and the history behind each country. I have been to 13 different states and have been to one other country. I hope to see more places in the near future.

Hope to meet other people in blogworld. If you are a home schooled high-school student … leave me a comment and let me know about your blog.
